2015 wishlist. yay! :)

I had been staring at this blank page for hours already. I've been meaning to write something today since this day marks the first chapter of the year. 2014 was tough but fulfilling and I wonder what 2015 is in store for me. I have so many plans for my year, a series of hoops and loops, the "always planned never done" adventures with a friend, a series of traveling and learning experiences, meeting new people and of course, if I stumble down, maybe find a soulmate as well (its high time they said, but no pressure, whoops!)

So here is my series of new year's wish which I hope I could fulfill this year.

1. Travel

I love traveling and meeting new people. It is through having meaningful conversations with people who are unknown to you that you get a glimpse of life through their perspective. Learning new culture and tasting new cuisines is the best

2. Climb mountains

Going to the peak of the mountain has always been my dream but it never came into a reality. I had planned on several mountain escapades with my friends before however, it was always cancelled. The domino effect has always been my enemy. I've been looking forward to smell the fresh air and hear the chirping of the birds.

3. Swim in the beach

I guess it has been a year since I last had my beach experience. I miss the sun,. ( Oh, the sun!), the smell of the fresh sea breeze and the sand. You might say I am weird for putting this on my list but when you are on my shoes, living in Scandinavia with a temperature as cold as ice, then you will understand.

4. Jump in a waterfall (again)

I know this sounds really foolish but yes! I love to jump. haha. Jumping in a high area is usually a fear for most people and also for me. Yes, it is. But the fear that I feel before I jump is what inspires me to jump again. I want to conquer my fear. (silly ayt? Well, I am.)

5. Sing with Jon Bon Jovi

I know this is somewhat an impossible wish but still I am gonna put this on my list. hahaha, :) I was never a fan of this guy before but when I stayed in Denmark for 4 months, his inspiring rock songs kept me going and alive. Livin on a prayer! hahaha.

6. Help and inspire other people

I know this wish is quite saintly. I am no saint. I have a lot of flaws but then again, helping for me and inspiring others give me that unexplainable priceless feeling I could not explain.

7. Smile always

I am fully aware that there will be a lot of ups and downs this 2015. No year is complete without tears in my eyes but I am always hoping that I could keep up with smiling despite adversity. It takes great strength and challenge when you smile in your darkest moments but then again, I read in a certain article before that smiling when your sad, changes your mood and the environment around you into happy things and would eventually eliminate sadness so eeeesssshhhSMILE! :) the power of attraction!

Well, those are my simple happiness for 2015. I hope I could do them all. :)

signs that you would soon be invisible in the calendar

Approximately 3 months from now, I would soon be a year older. Middle adulthood would soon be welcoming me with open arms. I had barely noticed that my age would shortly fall off the calendar anytime soon until I observe these red lights which made me realized "Ohh! I am getting old.. WAIT!" hahaha :) I know that I am not getting any younger and I have to put myself in perspective but I never thought that old age is very very excited to see me.. hahaha  :)  Here are some signs that might help you realize that you are not getting any younger. 1. Bar nights turned to coffee dates or movie marathons Gone are the days when you want to party all night and drink til you drop sessions. You seem to be contented with coffee dates and movie marathons because you realize that drinking leads to hangovers which won't do you any good. 2. Your Facebook news feed is flooded with babies or married friends Everyday, I check out my Facebook feed to see what my family and fri...

I am a language buff!

Went early for my daily yoga and meditation ritual today. I became acquainted with new faces and become a little bit more comfortable with people in my new place lately. I guess smiling and being friendly all the time and the ability to learn a couple of languages had somewhat did the trick. An Asian learning to speak Norwegian and French at the same time is very odd for them (at least that's what they told me). yay! :) Learning a language was never my hobby before. I think its kind of weird and tiring. I hate studying but when I was given the mandatory task of learning French language, I slowly acquire the passion of appreciating different tongues. In learning different languages, we discover the culture and tradition that goes with it which I think is very interesting. Its also an easy way of making a lot of friends from different cultures.  In learning a foreign language: 1. You can make new friends Not all people in other countries know how to speak English. Most of the...

Black Hole

At some point, we view our life as a black hole. It seem too dark that all you see is uncertainty, depression and skepticism. Lack of money, impending death, failures in one's career and many other things can be a source of a black hole. These tenebrous moments are sometimes hard to manage. Its like breaking your bones and squeezing your mind like a balloon that may begin to explode any second. More often than not, it puts people's breaks on  and pushes them to quick sand until they drown to death. Foolish isn't it?  This may sound absurd but that's reality. At times, caliginous experience is the cause of a man's downfall. I would strongly say that these are often the fate of people who views a glass as half empty instead of half full. On the flip side, if we fix our eyes on that tiny hole surrounded by darkness, we would view things differently. We would see Hope. We would see Light. We would see Opportunity. Fastening our gaze to positive points that might ha...
